Course Description:
A 10-minute, scenario-guided course that teaches the essentials of Legal Hold—what to preserve, where it lives, and how to secure it using Read, Think, Act®.
Do you have a Legal Hold on your plate? Read, Think, Act® gives you the exact steps to follow. This course walks learners through exactly what a preservation duty is, what a Legal Hold means (“do not delete or alter anything related to your case”), and the simple Read → Think → Act steps to follow so nothing important gets lost.
Guided by our friendly coach Jett, learners answer yes/no prompts to build a personalized Preservation List that they can print or save for reference. Along the way, they will see what to keep (emails, texts, messaging apps, social posts, photos/videos, cloud docs, backups/old devices, online accounts—even work done in GenAI tools), how to turn off auto-delete, and when to ask the legal team for help. The course concludes by reminding learners to flag other individuals who may have relevant information, so that counsel can take action.
Intended audience: Employees or individuals who have received (or may receive) a Legal Hold and need step-by-step, practical guidance.
Course length: 10 minutes.
You will learn to:
